Dear Residents,
Officers from The Bolton Response Policing team engaged on patrol in the area of the Tonge Moor Road Corridor at around 2300hrs 28th April 2026 noticed a vehicle in suspicious circumstances. As officers conducted checks the vehicle began to make off. A short pursuit ensued before the vehicle stopped on Folds Road close to Bolton Town Centre.
Subsequent searches revealed a quantity of suspected illegal drugs and the driver of the vehicle was duly arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs.
The vehicle was also seized.
The male arrested remains on bail while the investigation is progressed.
This work comes after another male was arrested on Stone Street last week after being found by officers from GMPs Specialist Operations unit in possession of a considerable amount of class A drugs.
